These Parmesan Croutons are so addictive, you can serve it on salad or soup such as French Onion Soup. It’s super easy. I’m obsessed with French croissants from our local French pastry and they have the best baguette. I’m sure you can guess what I’m going to tell you next, yup, I used it to make these Parmesan Croutons. The other key ingredient is of course, good Parmesan cheese. I like to buy a whole block and grate it myself. It tastes so much better than the bag stuff and I don’t mean to be snotty, trust me, I’ve ate a whole bag before. ha ha! I just think for this recipe, it’s super simple and it doesn’t hurt to use the best stuff you can find.
Let me show you how I made it.
Let’s cook some food!
Preheat the oven to 375 ºF.
Slice the baguette diagonally into 1/4-inch-thick slices. I used half since it’s just the two of us tonight.
Lay them on a baking sheet and brush each with olive oil.
Sprinkle with salt.
Sprinkle with garlic powder.
Top with grated Parmesan cheese.
Bake about 13-15 minutes until they are golden brown and crisp.
